On October 20, 2012, JFC will celebrate 75 years in our community.
An Open House is planned from 1:00-3:30 pm.
We hope you and your family will be able to attend and to help us celebrate this important milestone.

Carmichael Cares! Once again this year, JFC students showed they have caring hearts. Students collected nonperishable food items for the Waterloo Region Food Bank and donations of Canadian Tire money to purchase toys for the Waterloo Region Angel Tree. Together, we raised an amazing 600 pounds of food for the Food Bank. A total of $114 dollars in Canadian Tire money was collected and used by the leadership students to buy basketballs, soccer balls, Barbies, and other toys for children in our community. The Kindergarten Students in Room 7 showed you are never too young to learn about helping others. They came up with a plan to make art collages and sell them to make money for the Food Bank and raised $35. What is really incredible, is these one-of-a-kind creations sold for 25 cents a piece! |

Highland Baptist Church is a second home for many students of J. F. Carmichael Public School. A hot breakfast is served to students 5 mornings a week through the Nutrition for Learning Program. In addition, many children are part of the Bell Choir, headed by Norm Giesbrecht.
